The charting workspace at /charts is ALAN's flagship working surface — the screen an active analyst keeps open all day. Its most-repeated actions are bound to single keys: open the indicator picker, drop a measurement, fit the view, switch layouts. Learn a handful of shortcuts in fifteen minutes; use them for years.

The investment is small, the compounding is real. The workspace has four working regions. The period row selects the window — 1D through MAX, each with its own set of bar intervals.

The chart canvas holds the price pane plus any oscillator sub-panes, drawings, and overlays. The indicator picker (press I) adds studies from the catalog. And the layout switcher (Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+4) splits the workspace into one, two, or four charts — useful for watching a name on two timeframes at once, or two names side by side.
