The 10-Second Market Scan
Read /dashboard and /watch/macro before every deep dive
Every serious session starts the same way: a fast scan that tells you what kind of day it is before you commit to deep work. On ALAN that scan lives on two surfaces — /dashboard for the market's pulse (movers, sector heatmap, your watchlist and alerts) and /watch/macro for the regime (yield curve, macro readings, what's on the release calendar). The goal is 10-15 seconds that tell you whether the tape is risk-on or risk-off, and what to dig into next.
The scan is built on a situational awareness model: absorb the most-used market signals in one pass so you build a mental picture of current conditions before clicking into anything. The pass spans four dimensions a trader needs before any decision: (1) what are your names doing (watchlist, alerts), (2) what's the broad market doing (movers, sector breadth), (3) what's the volatility/risk regime, (4) what's the macro/yield-curve backdrop.
That is the opening. Finishing a lesson is where it stops being interesting and starts being useful: the full lesson runs to 5 sections and ends with 3 practice questions. A free account is what opens the rest, and the other 255 lessons in the Academy with it. No card.
