Windows
Windows 10/11 · 64-bitWindows flags new, independently-published apps: your browser says the file “isn't commonly downloaded,” and SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC.” Both are expected. Click Keep on the download (in Edge, Show more → Keep anyway), then on first launch click More info → Run anyway.
macOS
Apple Silicon & IntelThe Mac build is brand-new and not yet signed with an Apple certificate, so macOS blocks it on first open. Opening it takes about 30 seconds:
- Open the downloaded .dmg and drag ALAN Echo into Applications.
- In Applications, right-click ALAN Echo → Open, then click Open in the dialog. Right-click the first time — a double-click won't show the option.
- Click Allow when macOS asks for Microphone access.
- Turn on Accessibility: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → enable ALAN Echo, so it can paste text into your apps.
